Irene M. Everroad, 84, formerly of Hope ,went to be with the Lord at 9:30 a.m. Monday February 7, 2011 at Columbus Health and Rehabilitaion Center.
Irene was a homemaker and was a founding member of the Bible Church of Columbus.
Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Jerry Day Sr. offiiciating. Visitaion will be Thursday from 9: 30. a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Born June 25, 1926 in Biloxi, Miss. Irene was the daughter of Rose and Herbert Legendre. She was married to Henry W. Everroad on November 7, 1942. He prceded her in death on September 18, 2003. They were married for 60 years.
Surivors include daughters Gloria (Paul) Dettmer of Columbus, Rosa (Maurice) Nicholson of Lynn, Elizabeth "Liz" (Walter) Dean of Columbus, Juanita Everroad-Scott (Alvin) of Columbus; sons Leroy W. and John "Johnny" Everroad both of Columbus; sister Mamie Grier of Fort Smith Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents .husband and a brother Leroy J. Blanchard.
