Jack Eugene Shrader, Sr. 65 Of Columbus went to be with his Lord and Savior at 6:30 a.m. on Friday Oct. 3, 2008 at his home. Mr. Shrader had been a director with his wife for Christian Childrens Home and was a pedal steel guitar instructor. He had been a steel guitar player with many local bands. He had attended the Central Heights Church Of God, member of the Indiana SteelGuitar Club and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Mopsey. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Nathan Green officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Burial will be at Hawcreek Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amercian Diabetes Foundation. Born in Greensburg May 18, 1943 , Mr Shrader was the son of James Lewis andGladys L. Hicks Shrader. He married Sandra D. Adams on August 25, 1963 and she survives. Other survivors include sons Jack E (Heather) Shrader, Jr. and Wayne L. (Rikki)Shrader both of Columbus ; a daughter Rebecca A. (Joe) Davenport of Creswell, N.C.;sisters Marie Saylor and Loretta Segner both of Anderson ; a brother Dale Shrader, Sr;ofShelbyville and grandchildren Cassandra Dawn and Joey. C. Davenport, Megan M., Evan E. and Gage L. Shrader. Mr. Shrader was preceded in death by his parents ; a brother Norman Shrader and sisters Nellie and Katherine Sharder
