James L. "Harpo" Johnson, 63, of Seymour passed away Saturday July 24, 2021.

Born April 20, 1958 in Franklin, Indiana, he was the son of James and Carolyn Burton Doboze and they preceded him in death.

James is survived by children, Ashley Johnson (David Seaney) of Seymour, Heather (Mark) Hasch of North Carolina, Lacey Whitaker (Denny Ellis) of Butlerville and Chance Johnson of Elizabethtown; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Twyla (Davin) Roberts of Taylorsville, Jill (Dave)Seward- Bolles of Ohio and Jerry (Jean) Johnson of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

James enjoyed working on cars, fishing and going to the races.

Cremation is planned and there will be a memorial celebration at a later date.
