James "Jim" D. Heslop, 84 of Hope passed away Wednesday December 30, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.

Born May 5, 1936 in Lehigh, Iowa Jim was the son of Edward John and Nancy Ann Potter Heslop.  He married Darlene Ramsey December 23, 1965 and she survives.

Jim retired from Cummins.

He was a member of the Hartsville Church of Christ.

He loved hunting, fishing and anything to do outdoors.  He also loved crafting gazing balls and woodworking.

Jim is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, James D. Heslop, Jr. of Hope, Troy (Tracee) Heslop of Hope, Brian (Amy) Heslop of Columbus, Dori (Duane) Snow of Iowa, Mary Carson of Iowa, Katherine (Roger) Anderson of Iowa and Julie Ledoux of Vermont; 21 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service for Jim at Vernon Cemetery Thursday at 2:00 p.m.  It will be officiating by Brad Douglas.  In Keeping with Covid-19 restrictions masks and social distancing are required.  Arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated directly to Hartsville Church of Christ, P.O. Box, Hartsville, IN 47244.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
