Joan G. Redmon Geilker, 83, of Columbus, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home.

She was a beautician and had owned Cuts and Curls. She was a member of Moose Lodge Chapter 456 in Columbus.

Joan enjoyed gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and playing bingo.

Born on September 12, 1934 in Westport, Joan was the daughter of Elmer C. and Sara Violet Crawhorn Meredith. She married John B. Redmon on September 1, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1965. She then married Roy Geilker and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include children, Joyce Ann Redmon of Indianapolis, John B. Redmon of Columbus, Margaret E. Walls of Brown County, and Michael J. Redmon of Columbus; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Elmer T. Meredith of Ogilville, Henry F. Meredith of Hope, and Robert E. Meredith of Edinburgh.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband, John; husband, Roy; sisters, Isabell Wight and Barbara Reagan.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14 at noon at Norman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
