Obituary

John P. Baute, 56 of Hope passed away Monday July 29, 2013
near his home.
He was co-owner and operator with his son of Baute Farms.
He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and served
as a trustee for the church, a member of Hauser Outstanding Alumni
Committee and a former member of Flat Rock- Hawcreek School Board,
REMC nominating committee and Farm Credit Advisory Board. He had
previously coached Hope Future Jets Basketball, Hope Elementary Fifth
and Sixth Grade Basketball and volunteered at Hope Summer Playground.
He loved basketball, frying fish, dogs and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 am at Norman Funeral Home in
Hope. The visitation will be Friday from 3 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
Cremation is planned following the service and inurnment at Hope Moravian Cemetery is planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be donated to Hope Future Jets or Hauser FFA through the funeral home.
Born December 17, 1956 in Bartholomew County, John was the son of the late Raymond "Shine" Baute and Betty Settle Baute of Columbus.
He married Bonnie Simmons March 10, 1979 at Hope United Methodist Church and she survives.
Survivors include his wife; mother; sons, Seth (Emily) Baute of Hope and Justin (Audrey) Baute of Johnston, Iowa; grandchildren, Leah and Mason Baute of Hope and siblings Shirley (Chris) Baute Wenzel of Indianapolis and Joe Baute of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father.
