Obituary

John William Boyle, 57 of Columbus, died Thursday May 26, 2011 at his
home.
He was a Commercial Construction Project Manager and had been the
construction coordinator for United Way during the flood repair of 2008. He
had also worked on construction projects at Foundation For Youth, The East
Columbus Christian Church School, First Fidelity, St Paul's Episcopal Church,
several jobs out of state including restoration for Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
He was a member of the Duck's Unlimited Organization, Columbus Rotary
Club, Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Society of Marketing Professional
Service and served several other board positions.
He was a great outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.
He also had a great passion for assisting homeless animals.
There will be a memorial service for John Saturday June 4 at 1:00 pm at
Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service
time. There will be a private burial at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to United Way of Bartholomew County
or Bartholomew County Humane Society through the funeral home.
Born June 5, 1953 in Bartholomew County, John was the son of William C. and
Ruth McDonald Boyle who preceded him in death.
Survivors include; siblings, Norman (Josie) Boyle of Columbus, Larry Dean (Marsha)
Boyle of Elizabethtown, and Jane Boyle East (James) Kamp of Columbus; nieces and nephews,
Linda Boyle, Tom Boyle, Tony (Mandy) Boyle, Brad (Amanda) Boyle, Peggy (Bill) Lookabill,
Aimee Scroghan, and Lisa Loehr and some great nieces and nephews.
