John David Goode, 61 of Hope died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday November 10, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope.
Mr. Goode had worked at Webb Veneer in Edinbugh for several years. He had attended the Hope Community Church of God and served with U.S. Army in Korea and also the Indiana National Guard 1438 Transportion Unit.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 3: 00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Hancock officiaitng. Calling will be Saturday from 4 to 8 pm.
Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery in Shelby County.

Born in Danville, Kentucky March 25, 1949, Mr.
Goode was the son of the late Babe Goode and Hester Byrd Goode of Liberty, Kentucky. He married Linda L. Taylor on October 20, 1990 and she survives.
Other survivers include daughters Connie (Tim) Ruble and Nancy (David) Smith both of Hope and Tonya Baxter of Columbus: brothers Jerry and William Goode both of Shelbyville, Randall Goode of Flat Rock, Curtis Goode and Lester Goode both of Liberty , Ky and sisters Dolly Clemmens and Delores Salyers both of Liberty, Ky and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Goode was preceded in death by his father and a brother Donnie Goode.
