John L. Miller, 88, of Hope passed away Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born January 16, 1933 in Franklin John was the son of Leroy and Annie Stitt Miller.  He married Rachel Rhoades August 12, 1961 and she preceded him in death April 25, 2019.

John retired from Cummins after 40 years of employment.

He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years.

He loved old cars and doing yardwork.

John is survived by a daughter, Tammy Miller Guest of Hope and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son-in-law, Mike Guest; brothers, Bill and Lee Miller and sister, Evelyn Quillin Kelsay.

There will be a graveside service Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Leslie Fix officiating.
