John A. Repp, 60 of Hope passed away Tuesday December
17, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was retired from driving a school bus for Bartholomew
County School Corporation for over 20 years. He also drove a
bus for Foundation For Youth for 6 years. In previous years he
was a truck driver for David Calender, Kokomo Grain and Ivan
Shinolt. He also worked for Farm Bureau and Community Grain.
He was a member of the Old Union United Church of Christ.
He enjoyed driving the Columbus East Girls Basketball Team
to away games for many years. He also enjoyed camping.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope with Pastor Kirby Rupp officiating. Visitation will
be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at
Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the Old Union United
Church of Christ.
Born March 9, 1953 in Indianapolis, John was the son of Donald W.
and Doris Maxine Zigler Repp. He married Sue Hitchcock July 26, 1975
at the Hope Moravian Church.
Survivors include his wife of Hope; a daughter Dore M.(Cory) Julian
of Hope; a grandson Kevin M. Julian of Hope; a sister Nancy(Denny)
Meyer of Taylorsville; a sister-in-law Susan J. Repp of Taylorsville and
several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Wayne Repp.
