John K. Robertson , 90 of Hope passed away Friday July 12, 2024 at Columbus Regional Health.

Born September 26, 1933 in Hope he was the son of Ward and Jomyla Bruner Robertson.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Shirley M. Robertson. Sons, Skip (Cathy) Robertson of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Steve (Lori) Robertson of Hope, Indiana. Grandchildren, Megan Ripley (Troy) of Summerville, South Carolina, Matt (Alycia) Robertson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Stephanie Robertson Bowman of Randleman, North Carolina, and Brad (Ronni) Robertson of Columbus, Indiana. Great grandchildren Graycen and Rhys Ripley and Bryce and Kinsley Robertson. Nephews Patrick (Michelle) Cox, John (Charlotte) Cox, and niece Carrie (Chris) Thompson and special friends.

John lived his entire life in Hope where he was the local plumber and a faithful, lifelong member of the Hope Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy and held many volunteer roles. He enjoyed attending sporting events and church services. He never shied away from showing his love and support of special people and causes.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 16th from 4:00 to 7:00, at Norman Funeral in Hope, Indiana. The funeral service will be at the Hope Methodist Church on Washington Street in Hope on Wednesday at 12:00 pm.  Visitation from 10:30 until the service at noon.  Pastor Ed Cottrell will officiate the service.  Burial will follow the service at Hope Moravian Cemetery.  There will be a military graveside service conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.

John was preceded in death by his parents Ward and Jomyla; brother, Ross Becker and brother and sister in law Larry and Terrie Cox.
