John H. Stokes, 58 of Hope died Tuesday May 31, 2011 in Hayden.
He was a collector of model cars, loved the outdoors and racing.
Visitation will be Monday June 6 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Norman
Funeral Home in Hope. As per his wishes, cremation is planned following.
Memorials may be donated to the John Stokes Memorial Fund in
C/O Janet Sharp.
Born on March 3, 1953 in Columbus, John was the son of John L.
"Jack" and Darlene Arnett Stokes. He married Cheryl Bates on November
23, 1972 and she survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Janet (James) Sharp of Hope; grandchildren,
Feleisha Stokes of Columbus and Skylar and Jade Sharp of Hope and brothers,
Scott (Cecilia) Stokes of Franklin and Danny (Brandy) Stokes of Edinburgh.
John was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John R. Stokes and a brother,
Lynn Stokes.
