Judith Kay McKinney, 81, of Hope passed away Friday December 13, 2024 at Miller's Merry Manor.
Born February 8, 1943 in Shelbyville she was the daughter of Carl and Scharleen Nicholson Deiwert.
Before retirement Judy was self employed as a mental health counselor.
She had previously been a member of First Baptist Church of Hope. In her earlier years she had been affiliated with Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star and a Home Extension Club.
Judy enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and needlework projects.
There will be a funeral for Judy Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Tim Tallent officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Norristown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Student Funds of Hope through the funeral Home.
Judy is survived by children, Chris (Jackie) McKinney of Hope, Matt (Cathy) Robertson of Hope and Steve (Rebecca) McKinney of Hope; grandchildren, Austin (Kelly) McKinney of Hope, Dalton McKinney of Fl., Shelbi (Korey) Wendel of Edinburgh, Beau (Molly) McKinney of Jonesville, Squire McKinney of Hope and Ruby McKinney of Hope; great grandchildren, Kelsie Jo Wendel of Edinburgh, Cash William McKinney of Jonesville and Melanie Anne McKinney of Hope; Twin sister, Julia Bense of Hope, brother, Sam (Debbie) Deiwert of Flat Rock and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and James Deiwert.
