Kathryn Hatton, 92, of Columbus, died at 12:25 pm Monday, November 19,2007, at Keepsake Village Facility.
Mrs. Hatton was a former employee of Ken Joy Nursing Home and Lakeview Nursing Home, both in Hope. and Four Seasons Health center.. She was a member of The Hope Royal Neighbors. She was a former member of The Hope Baptist Church and a current member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
The funeral will be on Saturday November 24, 2007 at 10:30 am at Norman Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Calling will be on Friday November 23 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery with a commital service at Hawcreek Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association and to Hospice Of South Central Indiana.
Born June 14, 1915 in Boyle County Kentucky, Mrs. Hatton was the daughter of Ferdinand and Mary Lillie Reynolds Carpenter. She married Russell "Butch "Hatton on May 24, 1933 in Shelby County. He precedes her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene (Harry) Harker; sons, Ron(Debbie) Hatton, and Dennis Hatton all of Hope; Grandchildren, Sandi Marlow of Livingston, MT, Amy Harker of Hope, Angela Tauer of Belchertown, MA, Wendy Christy of Hope, Aaron Hatton of Columbus, Valerie Archer of Hope, Christopher Hatton of Hope, Brian Hatton of Daleville, IN, Kathleen Hatton of Hope and Kristin Toole of Hope; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild and a sister, Marilyn Burkitt of Columbus.
Mrs. Hatton was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Whitehouse and Gladys Myers ; brothers, Walter Carpenter and William Carpenter.
