Kevin Lee Gernentz, 55 of Hope passed away Tuesday
July 8, 2014 at Methodist Hospital.
He was a Mold Tech at Dorell Corporation and also was
employed at NAPA in Hope.
He was a member of Community Church of God.
He enjoyed chair caning, glass cutting and spending time
with his family.
The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and
Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Community Church
of Columbus Building Fund through the funeral home.
Born December 8, 1958 in Columbus, Kevin was the son of the
late A. Lee Gernentz and Carolyn J. Clouse Gernentz. He married
Janelle Maley August 19, 1978 in Columbus and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Hope; a son, Joshua
(Michelle) Gernentz of Hope; daughters, Jenny (Jarret) Heaston of
Trafalgar and Ashley (Jeremy) Rasico of Vincennes; grandchildren,
Sierra and Elizabeth Rasico, Jackson, Jude, Jonah and Jaren
Heaston and Koleson, Kendalyn and Kinley Gernentz; siblings,
Kyle (Kirk) McDonald of Greenwood, Kim (Tom) Harris of Columbus
and Kris (Lisa) Gernentz of Nashville, TN and several nieces and
nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father.
