Laura Ann Primmer, 56, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born on May 16, 1969 in Columbus, Laura was the daughter of Sheryl "Sherri" McCarty Coffman.

Laura was employed as a patient care technician at Columbus Regional Hospital. She held various positions at Columbus Regional Hospital for 35 years.

Devoted to her work, Laura took great pride in her job and the people she worked alongside. She had a deep love for dogs.

Survivors include her children, Chelsea (Sean) Howard of Clifford and Jake Primmer of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lucas Young, Logan Young, Layton Young, Leia Young, and Brennan Howard; her dog, Murphy, who was considered to be her favorite child; sister, Shannon (Will) Kincaid of Louisville, KY; nephews, Bryce Page and Andrew Page; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother; son, Jordan; and grandmother, Dorothy McCarty.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Randy McCarty officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bartholomew County Humane Society.
