Lee Roy Phillips, 68 of Columbus passed away June 7, 2023 at his home.

Born March 7, 1955 in Columbus he was the son of Leroy Phillips and Betty L. Schrogham Sutton.

He was a member of American Legion Post 24.

He enjoyed fishing and sports and he loved going to flea markets.

Lee Roy is survived by son, Brian Phillips of Bargersville; siblings, Trudy Coy of Columbus, Curt Phillips of Columbus and Bruce Phillips of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

Lee Roy was cremated and his cremains will be buried at a private graveside service at Hope Moravian Cemetery.  Lee Roy's funeral arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be donated to the American Diabetes Association.

Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Shannon Phillips; a niece, Christy Phillips and a nephew, Keegan Phillips.
