Obituary

Lewis Allen Carmichael, 85 of Oak Park, IL died December 30, 2015 in Berwyn, IL.
He had been employed as a dentist, a substitute teacher, and a cabbie.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW.
He was a photographer. He loved being a grandfather and was a dedicated Democratic party member.
Lewis was cremated at the time of his death. There will be calling hours Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. A military graveside service conducted by Barth. Co. Veteran's Honor Guard will follow at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Born January 31, 1931 in Hope, IN, Lewis was the son of Norman and Ellenore Carmichael. He married Jackie Carmichael in 1956 and she survives.
Other survivors include; children, Harry Carmichael of Oak Park, IL, Rebecca Simon of Naperville, IL. And Jason Carmichael of Jacksonville, Fl.; grandchildren, Caithen, Dorothy, Norman, Gregory, Robert, Christopher, Mikey, Alex, Peter, Olivia and Sydney.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.
