Lois Ruth Boyle, 90, of Hope, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born September 22, 1929 in DeWitt County, IL., she was the daughter of Grant and Lura Robertson Shepherd. She married Robert Geiling in 1947 and he preceded her in death. She then married Bill Boyle in 1981 and he preceded her in death.
Ruth was retired from Columbus Regional Hospital as a supervisor of Housekeeping.
She was a member of the Rugby United Brethren Church where she enjoyed fellowship and Bible study. She was also a member of the Hoosier Mustang Club. She loved time spent with family and friends and reading her Bible.
Ruth's funeral will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Brad Douglas officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Westport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
Survivors include a grandson, Tom Manley; sister, Maxine Howard of Madison, GA.; and son-in-law, Dave (Mary) Manley.
Ruth was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Geiling and Bill Boyle; siblings, Russell Shepherd, Thelma Gividen and Max Shepherd.
