Lorene K. Nielsen, 69 of Hope died Friday September 24, 2010 at Kindred Hospital at Greenwood.
Mrs. Nielsen was owner of the former Owl's Nest Restaurant in Hope for several years.
Mrs. Nielsen was born in Columbus January 4, 1941, She was the daughter of Earl and Martha Fawcett Perry. She married Lawrence Nielsen on April 5, 1959 in Columbus and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters Natalie Byrd of Columbus ,Kimberly Neilsen and Lisa (Parry ) Johnson both of Hope; grandchildren Jeremy (Jill) Byrd of Brookville Ohio, Tiffany (Eric) Laker of Friendship, Brandon (Angie) Nielsen of Columbus and Joshua and Kyle Henderson both of Hope; great grandchildren Emily, Andrew and Paton Byrd, Ethan and Kameron Nielsen , Americus and Jarvis Henderson and Ashton Laker; brothers Robert (Doris) Perry and Warren K. (Jackie) Perry both of Columbus and Roger ( Brenda) Perry of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a mother-in-law Mildred Neilsen ; sister-in-law Beverly Birdsall and a sister Pat Weaver
Cremation is planned with a memorial service at a later date.
