Louise Murray, 77 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023 at Keepsake Village in Columbus.

Born June 1, 1946 in McEwen Tennessee, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Ellen Durham Budd.  She married Donald Murray November 4, 1967 and he preceded her in death May 7, 2017.

Louise was employed at Daily Feed and Grain for a few years but lived most of her married life as a homemaker.

In her previous years she was very active at Newbern United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed reading and scrapbooking.  Louise cherished her relationship with her only granddaughter Alyssa.  She was her caregiver and had a very close bond with her.

Visitation for Louise will be Friday December 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.  The funeral will be Saturday December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be visitation on Saturday one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Louise is survived by son, Scott (Cassie) Murray of Columbus; granddaughter, Alyssa Murray of Columbus; sister, Nancy Budd and brother, William Budd, both of Plantation, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
