Marcene L Surber's Obituary
Marcene L. Surber, 93, of Shelbyville passed away on December 24, 2015 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She worked as a secretary at Currant-Moore Insurance Agency in Shelbyville and was a member of Flat Rock Christian Church.
She was an avid reader and loved to watch sports. She also enjoyed her morning coffee group at McDonald's.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Brian Ebersold officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flat Rock Christian Church.
Born May 27, 1922 in Shelby County, Marcene was the daughter of Lester and Ruby Maze Wagoner.
She married Lewis Surber "Jelly Bean" on October 21, 1972 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2013.
Survivors include nieces, Charlotte Sherrill of Medora, IN, Laberta (Milton) Otte of Seymour, and Martha Clark of Arkansas; special friends, Anna Linville and Vivian Grant, both of Shelbyville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Marcene is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and niece, Virginia Krutz.
