Margaret "Peggy" Center, 97 of Hartsville passed away Tuesday April 29, 2008 at 11:40 am at Miller's Merry Manor.
She had worked at Arvin Industries, American Greeting Cards in Cleveland, Ohio and Cunningham Gardens in Waldron.
She was a member of the Hartsville United Methodist Church and loved cooking and sewing.
The funeral will be conducted on Friday at 10:30 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Nancy Low and Raymond Brown officiating. Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hartsville United Methodist Church Building Fund through the funeral home. Born on February 11, 1911 in Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Center was the daughter of Charles K. and Gertrude Peppard Meier. She married Omer L. Center April 1, 1932. He passed away in 1967.
Survivors include; a daughter, Janet L. Kimball of Hartsville; grandchildren, Bill (Trish) Kimball of Col., Mark Kimball and Debbie Calender both of Hartsville; 6 great-grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; her husband; a son, Donald R. Center; brothers, John, Jacob and David Meier and Robert and Arthur Whalen and sisters, Dorothy Walls, Marie Brown, Mary Fields, Dolores Russas and Angela Zinkon.
