Margaret J. Moore, 73, of Hope, passed away on January 21, 2026 at her home.

Born on August 28, 1952 in Columbus, Margaret was the daughter of Dan W. Moore, Sr. and Mary Jo Grider Moore.

Margaret retired from working in environmental services at Columbus Regional Hospital after 25 years.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed needlework and watching crime dramas. She also had a love for cats.

Survivors include her children, Heather Fanning of Portage, MI and Keri (Shawn) Brady of New Palestine; grandchildren, Melanie Sexton of Columbus, Zach (Jas) Fanning of Three Rivers, MI, and Sean (Lydia Kirk) Fanning of Kalamazoo, MI; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Sexton of Columbus, Anakin Fanning, Drizzt Fanning, and Artemis Fanning, all of Three Rivers, MI; sister, Lynn Thayer of Hope; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Joe Moore, Dan Moore Jr., Robert Moore, and Tom Moore; and nephew, Derek Thayer.

Cremation was planned and inurnment will take place at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
