Margaret Shoaf age 87 of Hope IN passed peacefully Friday, March 8, 2013 at Hospice in Columbus. Margaret was born December 5, 1925 in Frankfort KY to Ollie and Nannie Rice Brooks. She had worked at Atterbury Job Corps and Retired from Cummins Engine Co. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Shoaf and a son Fred Younger. She is survived by a daughter Vicki Amos of Taylorsville IN and a son Tim Shoaf of Hope IN. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Carrie Jackson of North Vernon, Johnna Johnson of Taylorsville IN, Sawyer Shoaf of Hope IN and Dustin Shoaf of Greenwood IN, two great grandsons and one great great granddaughter. Margaret was known to have a good sense of humor and enjoyed a good banter. Though she lived her adult life in Indiana she never forgot and was very proud of her Bluegrass Roots.
At Margaret's request, there will be no viewing and her creamains will be interred at a private graveside service which will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
