Maris Jane Hook England 78 of Columbus died Tuesday Oct. 25, 2011 at her home.
Born November 29, 1932 to Cleo Emory and Dorthy Lucille Ritchison Hook
in Columbus, IN. She was married to Lee E. England on January 10, 1949 in Jeffersonville,
IN. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2002 and is buried in Garland Brook
Cemetery, Columbus, IN. She was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by children, Russell E. (Rita) England of Columbus, Richard W. England of
Seymour, Steven R. (Lisa) England of Seymour, Robert B. England of South Carolina,
Regina F. Runyon of Seymour and Reed E. (Ramona) England of Columbus; eleven
grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Wayne (Marie) Hook of
Salt Lake City, Utah. and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild Steven Rand Dickmeyer.
She graduated from Columbus High School, 1951 and from Ivy Tech College with
two degrees in 1984, and retired from Columbus Sportswear in 1994.
The funeral will be Saturday at 12:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. The
visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 until service time. Burial will be at Garland
Brook Cemetery.

thru the funeral home.
