Mark A. "Pappy" Metcalf, 63, of Hope, passed away on April 23, 2026 at Franciscan Health. 

Born on January 20, 1963, in Columbus, IN, Mark was the son of Rusty Burton and Estelle McKenney Metcalf. He spent many years employed as a fabricator. 

Mark often enjoyed riding his bicycle and was known to show his impressive wheelies around the town square. Mark loved music and preferred listening to it loudly. He also enjoyed model hot rod cars. 

He is survived by his sister, Dena (Don) Butler of Loogootee, IN; and loving nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, who will carry on his spirit and fond memories. 

A funeral service will be held to honor Mark’s life on Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services. 

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jessie Caldwell, Randy Metcalf, and Debbie Dolan; and great-nephew Trevor Frazee.
