Mary Lorissie Brown, 84 of Columbus died Friday May 13, 2011 at Scott
Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.
She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Columbus.
She loved quilting and word seek puzzles.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope with Dr. Bill Bailey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from
5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hiseville Cemetery
in Hiseville, Kentucky at 2:00 pm Central time on Wednesday.
Memorials may be donated to Hospice of South Central Indiana or
Parkside Baptist Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
Born May 26, 1926 in Barren Co., Ky, Mrs. Brown was the daughter
of William Levi and Ida Lou Lee Duncan. She married Leo E. Brown
May 22, 1943 in Glasgow, Ky and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include children, Prentice (Linda) Brown of Edinburgh,
Ida (Randy) Geddings of Vancouver, Washington, Linda Foss of Hope,
Charlie (Gloria) Brown of Elizabethtown and Diana Brown of Columbus;
eleven grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren and a
brother Van Duncan of Quitman, GA.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son,
James W. Brown; a grandson, Richard Brown; a great granddaughter,
Abigail Brown; five sisters and one brother.
