Mary Margaret Deiwert, 98, of Hope, passed away
Saturday January 3, 2015 at Our Hospice of South
Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was a member of The First Baptist Church of
Hope since 1930. She was also a member of Little
Hawcreek Extension Club and Just Friends Club.
She loved birds, I.U. Basketball, Indianapolis Colts
and camping.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at First
Baptist Church of Hope with Tim Dillingham officiating
and Pastor Mark Walker assisting. Visitation will be
Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in
Hope and Wednesday one hour prior to service time at
the church. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Born December 11, 1916, in Burney, IN Mary Margaret
was the daughter of Cliff and Blanche Horner Burney.
She married Rex Deiwert August 11, 1940 and he preceded
her in death February 6, 2008.
Survivors include, children, Sara(Dwight) Carter of Hope,
Jane(Jim) Sturgis of Palm Coast, Fl., John(Connie) Deiwert
of Bargersville, IN and Cindy Gosney of Hope; grandchildren,
Rob Archer of South Bend, Ryan(Valerie) Archer of Hope,
Paul(Jennifer) Sturgis of Orlando, Fl., Amy(Jason) Anderson
of Hope and Samantha Gosney of Hope; two step grandchildren;
eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren;
brothers, John(Betty) Burney of Noblesville and Robert Burney
of Hope.
Mary Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband; sister, Irene Backous and brothers, Orliff, Wardner
and William Burney.
