Mary Phyllis Drake, 61 of Columbus died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday July 23, 2009 at Columbus Health and Rehab. Center.
Mrs. Drake was a homemaker and loved to sew and do crafts.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Arnett officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m unitl service time. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery.
Born in Morristown, Tenn. on August 17, 1947 , Mrs. Drake was the daughter of David L. and Josie Snyder Kyte. She married Gary Drake Sept. 17, 1969 and he survives.
Other survivors include sons Todd (Melisa ) Drake of Hope and Robert (Angie) Drake of Taylorsville, a sister Joan Wiles of Taylorsville, grandchildren Taylor and Cassie Lambert, Devon and Joseph Drake all of Hope, Phillip Lawson of Ogilville, Gary, Nathaniel and Isaih Drake all of Taylorsville.
Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by a daughter Kim Drake , and sisters Bobbie Jean Cantwell and Linda Hurley
