Mary Louise Harper, 81 formally of Hope, IN passed away Sunday
September 23, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Zion, IL.
She was a member of Hawcreek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and being with family and friends.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am at Hawcreek Missionary Baptist Church in Hope with Pastor Daniel Bragg officiating. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Alzheimer's Foundation through the funeral home.
Born September 3, 1931 in Edmonton, Ky., Mary Louise was the daughter of Henry and Katie Pauline (Froedge) Compton. She married Gordon D. Harper November 14, 1945 and he preceded her in death October 1, 1981.
Survivors include; sons, Bill (Becky) Harper of Columbus, Danny (Bonita) Harper of Columbus, Ricky (Liz) Harper of Columbus and Douglas Harper of Hartsville; a daughter, Joyce (Cookie) Stroup of Zion, IL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon, Howard and Paul Compton; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Wilson Harper, and 3 great granddaughters.
