Mary Ellen Hill's Obituary
Mary Ellen Hill, 97 of Columbus died September 22, 2013 at
Columbus Regional Hospital.
In her early years she had a business where she made pottery and
woodworking and sold at flea markets.
She was a member of Faith Chapel Church . She enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, Christian Music and farming.
The funeral will be Friday September 27, 2013 at 12:00 p.m .
at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. David Bragg
officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10-12 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at
Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated through the funeral
home to Faith Chapel Church.
Born December 21, 1915 in Oakwood, MO. Mary was the
daughter of Cleveland and Maggie (Hearn) Miles. She
married Jasper Head February 12, 1932, and then married
Delmas "Doc" Hill December 17, 1960.
Survivors include her children Jewell Taylor of Columbus,
Donald (Bertha) Head of Greensburg, Margaret Cox of Junction
City, Alaska, Roberta (Milton) Wallace of Cimarron, Kansas,
Lenora Dodd of Indianapolis, 22 grandchildren, 44 great
grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Cleveland and
Maggie (Hearn) Miles; Husband Delmas Hill; son-in-law Larry Cox;
3 sisters and 3 brothers.
