Mary Jo Titus Hermon, 88 of Hope passed away Monday February 18, 2019 at Miller's Merry Manor.
Before retirement she worked as a tax preparer and bookkeeper.
In her earlier years she served as the clerk treasurer for the town of Hope. She was a member of Hope Chapter of Eastern Star, Kill Kare Klub and the Joseph Heart Chapter of DAR.
Born January 4, 1931 in Bartholomew County, Mary Jo was the daughter of Ray E. and Maude Day Zeigler. She married Gerald Titus October 2, 1952 and he preceded her in death December 18, 1969. She then married John T. Hermon December 21, 1974 and he preceded her in death January 1, 1993.
There will be a graveside for Mary Jo Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Mary Jo is survived by children, Melinda "Miluna"(Reto) Fausch of Mountain View, CA and Jonathan (Edith) Titus of Hope; step-children, Marilee (Dan) Couch of Blue Springs, MO, Robert Hermon of Knoxville, TN, Linda (Mike) Hancock of Columbus and Barbara (Mark) Brumfield of Evansville; grandchildren, Faith Titus of Hope, Andrew "A.J." Titus of Hope; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Judy Robertson.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Harriet Clayton.
