Maudie S. Fogle, 81, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Before retirement, Maudie had worked as a security guard at a resort while living in Florida.
She was a member of Burney Baptist Church, Milford Eastern Star, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was a past Imperial Maharanee of the Shrine Guild.
Maudie was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. She made many wedding dresses and baby blankets for family members. She loved to ride motorcycles with her husband. They traveled to every state except seven.
Born on April 18, 1936 in Rushville, Maudie was the daughter of Delgar and Edna Mills Shedd. She graduated from Burney High School in 1954 and married her high school sweetheart, Donald Fogle on August 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2016.
Survivors include, Donna (Cary) Sebastian, R. Denise Rust, Jack (Dianna) Fogle, and Debra Fogle, all of Greensburg; grandchildren, Christy (Dana) Smiley of
Greensburg, Natalie (Brian) AmRhein of Nashville, IN, Mellissa (Jake) Shook, Jenny (Brock) Hahn, Justin (Stacie) Fogle, all of Greensburg, and Tony (Kelly) Hansen of
Lafayette; and great-grandchildren, Cpl Chaz Smiley, LCpl Jordan (Danielle) Smiley, Maggie Smiley, Miles and Mallory AmRhein, Jacobi, Kelby, McKinley, and Carly Shook, Braylon Hahn, Jayden and Addisyn Fogle, and Liz, Sam, Ben, and Andrew Hansen.
Maudie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and great-grandson, Brendon Shook.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Jeremy Martin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati or Burney Baptist Church.
