Max Harvey Nordman, 65 of Clifford died at 12:10 a.m. Friday April 3, 2009 at his home. Mr. Nordman had been a barber in the Columbus area for 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Chruch at Clifty and the NRA. He liked hunting and fishing and was a Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts and I.U. fan. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a,m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clifty with Pastor Doug Bauman officiating. Calling will be Monday at Norman Funeral Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. and also on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m until service time. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Orphan Grain Train 11670 South 340 East Elizabethtown, IN. 47232. Born in Columbus August 3, 1943, Max was the son of Harvey and Lela Dettmer Nordman . He married Becky Nordman July 5, 2006. Survivors include his wife; daughters Stephanie Crump of Louisville, Melissa Sandlin and Heather DeHart both of Seymour and Jennifer Prior of Peru; sisters Diane O'Connor of Columbus and Cathie Humbarger of Fort Wayne; eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. sister Lillian Gilbert and a brother-in-law Ron Gilbert.
