Mayford Webb, 88 of Hope passed away Thursday October 7, 2010 at 2:30 pm at Hospice
of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
He was retired from Cummins, Inc. He attended Old Regular Baptist Church in Kurtz, IN, was
a member of the Lions Club, Columbus American Legion, Hope Fire Dept. for 32 years and had
served as Hope Town Marshall. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII and had received
a purple heart.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Jerry Crouse
officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 -7:00 at the funeral home and from 9:00 am until
service time Monday. Cremation is planned and burial will be at a later date at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Fire Dept. or Miller's Merry Manor Activity Fund.

Born on December 19,1921 in Mayking, Kentucky, Mayford was the son of W.W. and Pearlie Hall
Webb. He attended Whitesburg High School. He married Emogene Webb December 4, 1943 in Ermine, Ky.
and she survives.
Mayford enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, gardening and listening to gospel music.
Survivors include his wife of Hope; daughters, Carolyn (Steve) Hofeditz of Panama City, Fl., Joyce (Michael)
Henderson and Sharon Webb both of Hope; grandchildren, Mika (Kurtis) Greenwald of Pahrump, Nevada,
Jennifer (Nolan) Simmons of Panama City, Fl., Scott (Audrey) Henderson of Winter Garden, Fl., Lanna Gayle
(Bryan) Roby of Maize, Kansas and Amanda (Glen) Burden of Columbus, IN; great grandchildren, Gunnar & Grady
Greenwald, Brittany McClellan, Jake Wilkinson, Zach & Chase Henderson, Braden & Brianna Roby, & Isaac Burden;
a brother, John Webb of Dundee, Fl. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mayford was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janice Osborne; son, Dale Webb and three brothers and
two sisters.
