Michael P. Anderson, 55, of Hope, passed away unexpectedly Sunday January 1, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born June 16, 1967 in Columbus, Mike was the son of Marion and Mary Shuck Anderson.  He married Penny Anderson on August 23, 2008.

Mike was owner and operator of Lewis Transport.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, cutting wood and making things with wood, hanging out with his friends and doing Karaoke, playing his drums, shooting guns and 4-wheeling.  He especially loved his family and friends.

A visitation for Mike will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.  Cremation is planned following visitation.

Memorial contributions may be donated to donor's choice of animal shelter.

Mike is survived by his wife Penny Anderson of Hope; son Elijah (Zendy) Anderson of Columbus; grandchildren, Joshua and Lucas Anderson of Columbus; brothers, Jim (Cheri) Anderson of Lutz, FL. and Bill (Dianna) Anderson of Spring Hill, FL. and a brother-in-law, Tommy Adkins.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents.
