Minnie L. Burton, 87 of Columbus died Thursday January 20, 2011
at Hospice of South Central Indiana.
The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Hope Community Church of
God with Rev. Gerald Hancock officiating. Calling will be from 11:00 am
until service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery
west of Clifford.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Community Church Of God.
Born February 12, 1923 in Bartholomew County, Minnie was the daughter
of Cecil Henderson Sr. and Edna V. French Henderson. She married Lawrence A.
Burton November 17, 1937 and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2005.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and working word search puzzles.
Survivors include: children, Hazel Bowles of Columbus, Mike (Kathy) Burton
of Columbus, Sheila (Clarence) Cox of Columbus and Jeannie (Rex) Goldsmith of
Clifford; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren;
sisters, Ina Nicholas of Oklahoma and Tillie (Jerry Smith) Talkington of Grammer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter,Caroline
Turnmire, a sister, Mary Dailey and a brother, Cecil Henderson Jr.
