Naomi Kathleen (McRay) Anderson, 86 of Hope died Thursday
September 19, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor.
She was retired from Cosco.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hope, where she taught Sunday School for the Jr-Class Stars for over 25 years. She was also in the church choir. She was a member of the Friendly Neighbors Extension Club and Columbus Regional Hospital Auxillary.
.   She loved caring for her family.
The funeral will be Tuesday Septembr 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at
Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. Mark Walker
officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral
Home. Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated through the funeral home
to Activities Fund at Millers Merry Manor.
Born May 2, 1927 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Naomi was the
daughter of Oscar E. and Amanda (Black) McRay. She married
William Garnett Anderson September 1,1945 at the parsonage of the
Hopewell Baptist Church in Mercer County, Kentucky and he survives.
Survivors include her husband of Hope; two daughters Donna J.
Young (Richard) of Hope and Carolyn Powell (Brian) of Flatrock and
5 grandchildren Kevin PYoung (Terri) of Hope, Aaron S Hatton
(Becky) of Columbus, Kimberly D Taylor (Chad) of Hope, Valorie
Archer (Ryan) of Hope, and Brian D Hatton (Catherine) of Daleville,
10 Great Grandchildren Brittany and Braden Young, Sarah and Libby
Taylor, Josh Hatton, Anna Hatton, Carly and Maddy Archer, Natalie
Hatton, and Olivia Hatton.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Amanda
McRay, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
