Nellie M. Foust, 80 of Scipio, IN passed away Saturday June 1, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born June 21, 1932 in Decatur County, she was the daughter of Lewis R.
Jayne and Arlie M. Hull Jayne.
She graduated from Jackson Township. High School in 1950 and studied one year at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.
She served as a Clifty Tounship Trustee in the 1980's, was a member of the Alert
Chapter Order of Eastern Star, she was a member of the Burnsville Christian Church
and the Women's Council.
She loved to cook and was very involved in her church.
She married George G. Foust on October 5, 1951 at Forresthill Presbyterian Church
He preceded her in death February 9, 2013.
They adopted two children, Mark Alan Foust and Lisa Ann Spiegel.
Nellie is survived by daughter Lisa Ann Spiegel of Indianapolis; grandchildren Sophia
and Olivia Spiegel of Indianapolis.
A celebration of Nellie's life will be Thursday at 6:00 pm with visitation from 4 until
service time. Rev. Marcus Spears will officiate the service and Rev. Dan Shaw will share
special music. Cremation will follow the service and a private burial will be at Lower
Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hospice of Jennings County or Burnsville
Christian Church.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband a son Mark A. Foust and brothers Noel R. Jayne,George H Jayne and Walter Leon Jayne.
