Pastor Mark D. Walker, 56, of Hope, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.

Memorial contributions may be given to go towards a fund for Mark's children.

Born on March 15, 1961 in Rushville, Mark was the son of Raymon Walker and Clara McCleese Becker. He married Molli Nelson on August 2, 1997 at Alexandria First Baptist Church.

He served as the minister at First Baptist Church of Hope.

Survivors include his wife, Molli Walker of Hope; mother, Clara Becker of Hope; children, Micah, Caleb, and Clara Walker, all of Hope; brothers, Clarke (Patricia) Walker of St. Louis, Kenneth (Connie) Walker of Terre Haute, and Bruce (Pam) Walker of St. Louis; brother-in-law, Rex (Carrie) Nelson of Fortville; sister-in-law, Kari Nelson of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his father; step-father, Keith Becker; and nephew, Derk Walker.
