Hope
Patricia S. Bode, 74 of Hope, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Bode had been an elementary school teacher for 37 years. She started teaching at Waldron School, then later taught at several Columbus elementary schools. She was a graduate of Indiana University where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees.
She loved reading, traveling and visiting with friends.
There will be no funeral service or calling hours. Cremation is planned with burial at Hope Moravian Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities
Born near Hope on January 10, 1937, Mrs. Bode was the daughter of Louie E. and Naomi R. Dodd White. She married Carvin F. Bode on December 2, 1972, and he survives.
Other survivors include a sister, Carol (Alva) Dailey of Hope; and brothers, John White of Hope and Kenneth (Evelyn) White of Columbus.
Mrs. Bode was preceded in death by her parents .
