Mr. Paul Duane Collins, 69, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20th, 2020, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his loving family, brother Dennis K. (Rosie) Collins, sister Lola Collins Enochs; his nieces and nephews  Lanette K. Enochs (Andrew M.) Faw, Larry J. Enochs, Christopher K. (Tracey) Collins, Tina (Scott) Longballa, and Peggy Collins; 9 great nieces and nephews - - Levi S. Enochs, Emma E. Enochs, Grace A. Enochs, Cooper J. Enochs, Audrey L. Enochs, Ryan Collins, Megan Collins, Colin Longballa, and Carissa Longballa.

Duane was proceeded in death by his father, Paul Virgil Collins; mother, Vesta Mae (Cooper) Collins; and brother-in-law, Larry G. Enochs.

Duane, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on April 6th, 1951, in Greensburg, Indiana. He graduated from Greensburg Community High School, class of 1969. Duane was on the track team in which he received multiple trophies, basketball team and played trombone in the band. After graduation, Duane attended the University of Michigan – Flint on a track scholarship.

In the summer of July 1971, Duane began his career at the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis, Indiana. He retired from the US postal service April 7th, 2006.

Duane was an avid sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoyed the NY Yankees, and college and pro-basketball. He was a music enthusiast who enjoyed attending many concerts throughout the years.

Family and friends remember Duane for his quiet and thoughtful demeanor, his love of family, his amazing t-shirt collection, and his rocking chair. He will be sorely missed.

A memorial service in Hope, Indiana will follow later, date to be determined by the family.
