Obituary

Paul E. Law, 69 of Hope passed away at 11:40 p.m. Friday Feb. 6, 2009 at his home. Mr. Law had worked as a machinist at Cummins and Arvins and also had worked at Columbus Auto Supply. He was a member of Rugby United Brethern Church, was a U.S. Army veteran and loved bowling, fishing and car racing. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Tays officiating. Visitation will on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery in Hope with military graveside rites. Memorial contributions may be made to Rugby United Brethern Church or to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Born in Shelbyville, March 8, 1939, Mr. Law was the son of Albert and Vena Phelps Law. He married Rose Kent on Feb. 15, 1962 and she survives. Other survivors include sons Danny (Lori) Law of Columbus, David (Christi) Law of Hope; a daughter Lisa Smith of Franklin ; sisters Bonnie Cowan of Edinburgh and Sheryl Tanenbaum of Columbus; grandchildren Tana and Dustin Smith of Franklin, Erica Law of Columbus and Ashley and Brandi Law of Hope and two great grandchildren. Mr. Law was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Don, Jerry and Ronald Law; sister Carolyn Kelsey and his grand parents.
