Obituary

Paul Franklin Shoaf, 82, of Hope died at his home on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 6:45 p.m.

He was born to Roy Franklin Shoaf and Mary Kathryn Minor on May 1, 1930. He married Elsie Pauline Graham on August 7, 1952 and she survives.

Paul was self-employed in the construction business and was in the Navy and served as a Seabee during the Korean War. He was a member of the Conservation Club and the American Legion. He loved to hunt and fish.

The funeral will be on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with calling at 9:00 a.m. in Hauser's Main Gym with N. Strait Hill officiating. Calling hours will be on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. also in Hauser's Main Gym. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion in memory of Paul.

Pall Bearers will be Mike Kern, Tony Holder, Jed Shoaf, Bill Lykins, Jim Flint and Larry Kleinhenz. Honorary Pall Bearers are: Bob May, Harold Zollman, Julius Bayles and John Norman.

Surviving along with his wife Elsie of 60 years are their children; Jay (Nancy), Jim (RaNae), Jeff (Cindy), Joel (Crystal), John (Teresa), Jerry (Selah), Jack (Sandy), Jesse (Lisa), Jeanette Kirk, Jordan (Stephanie), Jed, Joanna Nida and Julius (Cammille). 69 Grandchildren and 41 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings; Irvine (Ike) Lee Shoaf, Dorothy Jean Collins, Dottie Sue Barkdull and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; John William Shoaf, Donald Edward Shoaf and Robert O'Dell Shoaf. Sisters; Alice May Allman and Patsy Ann Yeley. Grandchildren; Mary Celestia Shoaf and Chase Arthur Shoaf.
