Paula Anne Pollitt, 65, of Hope, died Sunday June 14, 2015, at her
home.
Before retiring, she had been employed at Columbus Regional
Hospital as a radiologic technologist-RIS/PACS administrator and had
also been director of radiology. She also had been a real estate
agent and a Mary Kay consultant.
She was baptized in the Catholic faith in 1963 and was a member of
St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
She was president of Hope Town Council and was a board member
of Hope Main Street. She was also a member of Hill Toppers Clogging
Group.
Paula was very talented in pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk
sketching, painting, ceramics, making porcelain dolls and knitting. She
loved vacationing with family and friends and loved the beach. She
also loved animals and had several dogs and cats. One of her dogs
served as a therapy dog at the hospital.
The funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew
Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation will be Wednesday from
4 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope and
Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Main Street Park
Project.
Born October 24, 1949, in Vincennes, Indiana, Paula was the
daughter of Paul and Anne Louise Carter Wright. She married
Roger D. Pollitt. He preceded her in death January 28, 1999.
Survivors include siblings, Brad (Claudia) Wright of Warsaw,
Kim (Paul) Brockman of Oldenburg and Richard Loyd of Anderson;
nieces, Jennifer (Bob) Beiers of Greenwood and Julie (Eric)
Lierman of Fort Wayne; a great-nephew Tytus Beiers; and
great-nieces, Michaella and Mackenzie Lierman.Paula was
preceded in death by her husband and parents.
