Obituary

Perry F. Harker, 74 of Hope passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 9:08 am at Hospice of South Central Indiana.
He had worked as a toolmaker at Cummins Engine Company.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hope where he had served as a sunday school teacher and deacon. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Diesel Workers Union. He served in the U.S. Army.
He loved woodworking and hunting.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday January 3 at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Mark Walker officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Cremation is planned following the funeral.

Born on January 11, 1935, Mr. Harker was the son of Walter and Marie Frick Harker. He married Helga Mueller on November 8, 1957 in Schwaebisch Giyuend, Germany.
Survivors include his wife Helga of Hope; a son, Franz (Lettie) Harker of Hope; a daughter, Jo Anita Harker of Hope; grandchildren, Franz J. (Nicole) Harker and Natasha Harker of Hope and Hannah Harker of Columbus; great grandchildren, Austin Smith of Columbus and Caden Harker of Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
