Phyllis J. Mounce, 79, of Hope passed away Saturday January 11, 2025 at her residence.

Born September 24, 1945 in Connorsville she was the daughter of Frank Lowery and Geneva Rose Mullikin.  She married Carlos Mounce February 8, 1964 and he survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Kimberly Bragg of Columbus, Amy Brown of Columbus and Rebecca Mounce of Hope; grandchildren, Dylan Mounce, Brandon Suns, Chelsea Bragg, Shantel Bragg, Jeremiah McQueen, Brian Sosbe, Dustin Sosbe and Jessie Slaven; nineteen great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Charles Andrew "Bud" Mullikin; half-brother, Carl Mullikin Jr.; half-sisters, Mary Conrad and Kay Barwick and several nieces and nephews.

There will be visitation for Phyllis Friday January 17, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at Norman Funeral Home.

Cremation will take place after the visitation.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Volunteer Fire Department.

Phyllis enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and writing to pen pals.  She also loved western things.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Carl Mullikin; sister, Imogene Gill; half-siblings, Bob Mullikin, Teresa Mullikin, Tina McNicholas and Paul Mullikin.
