Raymond Buel Embry, 81 of Hope passed away Sunday August 18, 2024 at his home.

Born October 18, 1942 in Hope he was the son of Harry and Gladys Buel Embry.  He married Janet Lucas March 22, 1961 and they celebrated 63 years together.

Survivors include his wife Janet of Hope; sons, Troy Embry of Hope and Terry (Lori) Embry of Hope; daughter, Sandy (Tony) Harvey of Vernon; granddaughters, Taylor Embry and Haley Embry, both of Hope and grandson, Cole Harvey of Vernon and sister, Maurita Gearhart of Columbus:sister in law, Louise Embry of Hope and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation to celebrate Raymond's life Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.

Raymond was a truck driver for many years and was also previously employed at Flat Rock Ag Supply.  His passion was farming and raising polled Hereford cattle.

He was a member of the Elks Club and American Polled Hereford Association.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching birds and wildlife.  He loved participating in his grandchildren's sporting events and other hobbies they were interested in.  He loved his cats, dogs, horse and granddogs.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: his brother, Stanley Embry and brother in law, Harold Gearhart.
