Robert L. Berkenstock's Obituary
Robert L. Berkenstock, 84 of Columbus died January 4, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He retired from being an electrician with Lovelace Electric.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 1:00 pm at the Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Ed Boston officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery with a Military graveside service.
Memorials may be donated to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E 17th St. Col, IN 47201.
Born on November 17, 1925 in Hartsville, Robert was the son of Alex and Inez Sheetsi Berkenstock. He married Juanita Pope and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Gary Berkenstock of Elizabethtown, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Western of Columbus and a brother, Elvin Berkenstock of California.
He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita, a daughter, Cheri Hawkins, brothers, Bill, Leo and Carl Berkenstock and a sister, Mildred Bullard.
